Design For Six Sigma is an extension and application of the DMAIC approach, as it is intended to be used in the initial design phase. In DFSS, we use the DMADV methodology, which stands for Define, Measure, Analyze, Design, and Verify. This is primarily used when designing a product or process from the beginning.
