In Six Sigma, the DMAIC process is used to solve problems in the organization. DMAIC means:

Define
In the Define phase, the organization’s business problem is identified, the scope of its solution is defined, and the project is initiated.
This gives importance to defining the Design methodologies to meet the customer and business specifications.

Measure
The purpose of the Measure phase is to collect and analyze data, quantify the current state of the problem, and develop the baseline capability of the process.

Analyze
The Analyze phase aims to identify the root causes of the problem, generate potential solutions, and select the most appropriate solution.

Improve
This phase standardizes and improves the process, creates a sustainable solution, and develops an implementation plan.
In the Improve phase, the solution is executed and monitored. The answer is then modified, if necessary, to get the desired result.

Control
The Control phase ensures that the process stays in control and that further improvements are made.
The Control phase aims to ensure the solution stays in place and determine when the next phase of the DMAIC process needs to be performed.
